  Re-enrollment

We look forward to welcoming back our returning families each year, but each currently enrolled family

  • must complete and turn in a re-enrollment packet
  • must complete and turn in a re-enrollment questionnaire
  • and must participate in a grade level re-enrollment/recommitment meeting

in order to secure a space for the 2010-201 school year.

Hyde-DC will begin Re-Enrollment for the 2010-11 School Year in January 2010.  High School Re-Enrollment (for students currently in grades 8-11) will take place in January and February 2010.  Elementary School students will Re-Enroll in March 2010 and Middle School students will Re-Enroll in April 2010.  See the Web site calendar for specific dates of re-enrollment/recommitment meetings. Children in grades 4-11 are expected to accompany their parents/guardians to the Re-enrollment/Recommitment meetings.

Please note that the final High School Re-enrollment/Recommitment Meeting will take place on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m.!

All forms needed to re-enroll were sent home to parents in a packet in January.  Additional re-enrollment packets can be picked up in Room 102.

Parents Take Note:  We expect interest in our school to increase in the coming months as more parents learn about our upcoming move to a state-of-the-art school building.  Located at 1800 Perry St., NE in Washington, DC, the new Hyde Leadership Public Charter School building will feature athletic fields, science labs, a gymnasium with locker rooms, refurbished classrooms, and high-tech capabilities.  We expect to be in the new facility by August 2010.

“We look forward to welcoming back our returning students each fall, but they must be re-enrolled!  Please submit the required paperwork and attend a recommitment meeting so that your children can reap the benefits when we move to the new state-of-the-art school building,” said Dr. JoAnn “Doc” Cason, head of school at Hyde-DC.
