The most important aspect of the Hyde-DC Family Teacher Resource Center is the Parent Discovery Group Meetings.  These meetings are held each month of the school year to focus on parental personal development.  The meetings, which are mandatory, are based on the Ten Principles of Hyde: 

• Truth over harmony

• Principles over rules

• Attitude over aptitude

• Set high expectations and let go of the outcome

• Value success and failure

• Allow obstacles to become opportunities

• Take hold and let go

• Create a character culture

• Humility to ask for and accept help
